Apron

Title

Apron

Description

The artist who created this apron used stencils to form the outlines of the symbols. With paint, he filled in the symbols and added details. He also stenciled the ornamentation around the edges of the apron and on the apron flap. The stylized flower, draped swag and geometric designs on the border do not have special significance in Freemasonry. They resemble stenciled ornamentation found on furniture, walls and other objects made around 1800.
